Women for the World have recently completed a survey on the issues of migrant workers in Dagon Myo Thit (Seik Kan) township located in the east part of Yangon.
Using mapping, focus group discussions and in-depth interviews we focused on the lowest wage earner families’ socio-economic situation, infrastructure, living conditions and environment, behavior and environmental awareness and access to basic services. We also surveyed them about their present living conditions, the difficulties they are facing and how they are solving those problems.
